This is a simple recipe one of our regular Farmers’ Market customers suggested on a Saturday in 2013.
1/2 pound Green Beans
1/2 Tbsp Butter
1 clove Fresh Garlic, crushed or minced
3 Tbsp Basil, finely chopped
Salt and Pepper, to taste
Steam the green beans for about 4-5 minutes, so they soften but retain their bright flavor. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, add the garlic and let it cook slightly, but remove from the heat before it browns. Toss the steamed beans in a small bowl with this garlic-infused butter and the raw chopped basil with a little salt and pepper. Serve alongside your main entrée.
